Blackpool Rebellion announced for 2010 - Same weekend! August 5th to 8th 2010. Cheap tickets on sale at this years Blackpool - just £70, will save you at least £20 on full price ticket. And limited to just 600 so dont miss out!!
Amebix regret to announce that they are now unable to attend this year¹s Rebellion Festival due to recent changes affecting the short tour planned for August.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to anyone specifically attending the festival to see the band play live, however the RebellionFestival line-up will undoubtedly provide a range of alternative performances which will hopefully compensate for our inability to attend this year. Adrian Edmondson (Young Ones, Bottom etc) is playing the Bizarre Bazaar stage with his band THE BAD SHEPHERDS.
Ade has been a punk fan for years and is bringing his love of punk music together with his love of folk instruments and will be entertaining us with a mix of classic Punk covers played with a full folk band!

The Bad Shepherds play punk songs on folk instruments. Not as a gag, but because we really like the noise. We think the songs are better than people remember. We love folk instruments. It works. We do songs by The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stranglers The Jam, Sham 69, The Undertones, Talking Heads, Squeeze and others, even Kraftwerk! Alright, they're not all punk, but they come from roughly the same era. We've mostly given the songs a kind of Celtic feel, and we've stuck in the odd reel and jig here and there. But occassionally we just thrash! I've always thought the excitement of a reel taking off is the nearest thing to the excitement of watching punk live in the 70's.
